I’m going to present you the BTS SIO that I’m doing at the Condorcet high school (Belfort) as well as the different options that are available. In short, my different BTS level projects are available on this page. The students of BTS SIO often come from a BAC PRO and a BAC STI2D and wish to continue their studies while starting to working… before doing a BTS SIO.
– BTS SIO at the Condorcet high school
First of all, the Brevet de Technicien Supérieur Services informatiques aux Organisations (SIO) is aimed at those who wish to train in two years as a network administrator or developer to enter the job market directly or continue their studies in the field of computer science. But moreover since the new reform, the subject of Cybersecurity is available.
OPTION SLAM
SLAM stands for “Software Solutions and Business Applications“.
The SLAM option is mainly intended for students who are interested in careers related to the design and maintenance of application programs. Therefore, thanks to specific courses, graduates will be able to manage a computer park or administer a network within a company. They will also be able to manage the integration, security and configuration of servers, but also of client stations and interconnection equipment.
Here are some examples of jobs that students can do after the BTS SIO option SLAM :
- Computer application developer
- IT design manager
- Application services manager
- Programmer analyst
- Application Programmer
- Computer Design Technician
OPTION SISR
The acronym SISR stands for “Infrastructure, Systems and Network Solutions“.
The SISR option is therefore primarily intended for students who are oriented towards professions related to the design and maintenance of network infrastructures. Above all, it corresponds to ensuring the security, maintenance and installation of networks and computer equipment are part of the main missions of future administrators, technicians or operating pilots.
So here are some examples of jobs that students can do after the BTS SIO option SISR :
- Telecoms network technician
- System and network technician
- System and network administrator
- System and network support
- Infrastructure technician
- Operations Manager
- Production technician
What to do after a BTS SIO
Finally, after a BTS SIO at the Condorcet high school, it is possible to continue one’s studies, to achieve a professional license or an engineering school. It is also possible to start a professional career after this diploma.
